Back to the Future is a 1985 science fiction comedy film directed by Robert Zemeckis and produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment. The film stars Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as the eccentric scientist Doc Brown. When Doc's time machine - Built into a DeLorean DMC-12 - Accidentally sends Marty back to 1955, he must find a way to return to 1985 without disrupting his parents' meeting and erasing his own existence. The Back to the Future Trilogy

Back to the Future Part II (1989) sends Marty and Doc to 2015, where they encounter hoverboards, self-lacing shoes, and a dystopian alternate timeline created by the villain Biff Tannen. Back to the Future Part III (1990) travels to the Old West in 1885, where Doc falls in love with Clara Clayton. The trilogy is celebrated for its clever plotting, memorable characters, and imaginative time travel mechanics. The film's DeLorean time machine needs to travel at 88 miles per hour and requires 1.21 gigawatts of power to activate.
