Frozen is a Disney animated musical fantasy film released on November 27, 2013, directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. Olaf the snowman (voice: Josh Gad) became one of Disney's most beloved modern characters, celebrated for his innocent optimism and comedic naivety. The film's twist - Revealing that the nominal "Prince Charming" Hans of the Southern Isles is actually the villain - Subverted Disney fairy tale convention.

Frozen became the highest-grossing animated film of all time upon release (later surpassed by other films), earning over $1.28 billion worldwide. A Broadway musical adaptation opened in 2018. Frozen 2 (2019) continued the story, with Elsa discovering the origin of her powers in the Enchanted Forest. Frozen 2 opened to massive commercial success, becoming the highest-grossing animated sequel at the time. The franchise spawned multiple short films, including "Frozen Fever" (2015) and "Olaf's Frozen Adventure" (2017). A third Frozen film was announced in 2023.
