Can I create my own quiz on DoQuizzes?

Yes. Any registered DoQuizzes user can build and publish quizzes using Quiz Lab. It is completely free. Once your quiz passes review, it is visible to the entire DoQuizzes community across all categories. Successful quizzes appear on the Most Popular and Trending pages, and contribute to your Creator achievement badges.

How do I create a quiz - step by step

1. Log in to your account (or register for free).
2. Click Create in the top navigation bar, or go directly to Quiz Lab.
3. Choose a quiz format from the nine available options. See the Quiz Formats guide if you are unsure which to pick.
4. Fill in the quiz title, description, category, and upload a cover image.
5. Add your questions and answers. You can include hints, images, and accepted alternate spellings for text-entry answers.
6. Preview your quiz by clicking Preview to play it exactly as a user would.
7. Click Submit for Review. Once approved, your quiz goes live on the platform.

Is there a free quiz maker?

Yes - DoQuizzes is completely free to use as a quiz creator. There are no limits on the number of quizzes you can create, no premium tier required for any format, and no fee to publish. See the Create page to get started.

What makes a great quiz?

• Clear, unambiguous questions - each question should have exactly one clearly correct answer.
• Balanced difficulty - a mix of easy, medium, and hard questions keeps players engaged longer.
• 10 to 20 questions - short enough to finish in one sitting, long enough to feel worthwhile.
• A strong title and cover image - these determine click-through rates. Be specific ("Premier League Top Scorers 2000-2024" beats "Football Quiz").
• Accepted alternate answers - for Classic quizzes, add every reasonable variation. "UK", "United Kingdom", "Britain", and "Great Britain" should all be accepted for the same question.
• Accurate answers - double-check every answer before submitting. Incorrect answers frustrate players and lead to review requests.

How does the quiz review process work?

All submitted quizzes are reviewed by the DoQuizzes moderation team for factual accuracy, question quality, and adherence to our content guidelines. Review typically takes 1 to 3 business days. You will receive a notification when your quiz is approved, rejected, or when changes are requested. Common rejection reasons include inaccurate answers, ambiguous questions, or inappropriate content.

Who owns the quizzes I create?

You retain ownership of the quiz content you create. By publishing on DoQuizzes, you grant us a licence to host, display, and distribute your quiz on the platform. You can delete your quiz at any time from your Dashboard. See our Terms of Service for the full licence terms.

Can I edit a quiz after publishing?

Yes. You can edit your quizzes at any time from your Dashboard. Significant changes (new questions, answer corrections) trigger a new review before the updated version goes live. Minor edits such as fixing typos may take effect immediately.
