- XP accumulates forever across every quiz you play - it is your total activity score
- Points are your score for a single quiz attempt
- Daily streaks multiply your XP earnings
- XP and points have no real-world monetary value
What is XP?
XP (Experience Points) is a cumulative measure of your total activity and performance on DoQuizzes. Every quiz you complete awards XP. Your total XP determines your player level, shown on your profile and the global leaderboards. Unlike your score on a specific quiz, XP never resets - it accumulates forever.
What are XP points and how do they work?
XP is awarded automatically after every quiz you complete. The amount you earn depends on:
- Accuracy - more correct answers means more XP.
- Quiz length - longer quizzes award more XP per completion.
- Streak multiplier - an active daily streak multiplies your XP earnings.
- First play bonus - your first attempt on a quiz you have never played earns a small bonus.
How do I earn XP?
- Play quizzes - every correct answer earns XP. Browse new quizzes daily to keep finding fresh content.
- Complete quizzes - finishing a full quiz earns a base completion bonus even with a low score. Table quizzes and longer formats award more XP per completion.
- Maintain a daily streak - playing every consecutive day builds a streak that multiplies your XP. Even one random quiz per day keeps your streak alive.
- Unlock achievements - reaching milestone badges awards bonus XP on top of normal earnings. See the full Achievements guide.
- First plays - the first time you play a specific quiz earns an extra bonus. Use categories to find quizzes you have never tried.
What is the difference between XP and Points?
| XP | Points |
|---|---|
| Cumulative - never resets | Per quiz attempt |
| Determines your player level | Determines your rank on a specific quiz leaderboard |
| Earned across all activities | Based on accuracy and speed in one session |
| Shown on global leaderboard | Shown on the quiz-specific leaderboard |
What is a streak and how does it work?
Your streak is the number of consecutive days you have played at least one quiz. A streak of 3 days starts multiplying your XP. The longer your streak, the higher the multiplier. Miss a day and your streak resets to zero. Your longest-ever streak is saved to your profile even after a reset.
How does XP affect leaderboard ranking?
Your total XP is what determines your position on the global leaderboard. The more XP you accumulate, the higher you rank. Leaderboard position refreshes monthly so new players can compete. For tips on climbing efficiently, see Leaderboards and How to Win at Trivia.
Do XP and points have any real-world value?
No. XP, points, levels, streaks, and badges are virtual rewards designed purely for fun and competition. They cannot be redeemed for cash, gift cards, or any other consideration. See our Terms of Service for the full details.
How much XP is needed to level up?
Each level requires progressively more XP than the last. Early levels advance quickly with just a few quizzes. Higher levels require consistent, long-term play. Your current level and progress to the next level are always visible on your Dashboard.
